Available equipment operated by experienced neurologists in the field of Neuro-otology and Neuro-ophthalmology allows diagnosis in cases of vertigo, dizziness or disorders of eye movements (such as nystagmus, gaze palsies, double vision, fixation intrusions etc.)

The most common vestibular syndromes seen in the clinic are:

• Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo 
• Functional vertigo (PPPD)
• Peripheral vestibulopathies (vestibular neuritis, Ménière’s disease etc.)
• Nystagmus and vertigo due to focal brain lesions (cerebellar or brainstem lesions) of various etiologies 
• Nystagmus and vertigo due to diffuse brain lesions (e.g. cerebellar atrophy in neurodegenerative syndromes) 
• Vestibular migraine

Equipment of the Oculomotor and Balance Laboratory supports the Vertigo Outpatient Clinic.

If necessary, specialized physical therapists offer balance exercise programs.
