GENERAL NEUROLOGY OUTPATIENT CLINIC

The General Neurology Outpatient Clinic has operating since the Department of Neurology was founded.

The Clinic provides regular follow-up to patients suffering from chronic neurological conditions.

Patients may be directed from the General Neurology Clinic to hospitalization  or to the Specialized outpatient Clinics of our Department as appropriate.

There are currently 8 morning sessions of the Clinic every week. Each session is run by an attending neurologist and by a neurology resident. The Clinic is headed by Associate Professor Evangelia Kararizou.

The Clinic is served, alongside the Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, by the Nursing Service, headed by Ms. Eleni Lembesi (tel. 2107289114) and currently including 12 nurses, as well as by administrative staff.

It is also served by the Social Work Service. Involvement of the Social Service is particularly useful in case of uninsured patients, including patients without Greek citizenship.

The Clinic serves approximately 1600 patients per year.

The Clinic currently operates on Mondays and Thursdays (4 sessions for each day of operation), time 09:00 – 13:30.
