1. Set-up-of Committee for the Control and Assurance of Quality

The Committee was established by the Administration of the Eginition Hospital, at the 10^th Board Meeting on 21.06.2018 with Ref. No 456. The Committee members were selected in such a way as to represent the Medical, Nursing and Administrative Services of the hospital. Committee actions are announced and subsequently approved by the Hospital Administration Board.

1. Committee Responsibilities – Action Plans

Committee Responsibilities – Action Plans comprise the following:

1. Co-operation with the various Services and Departments of the Hospital aiming to create standard procedures and protocols
2. Organizational development of medical protocols, in co-operation with the Administration of1^stPsychiatric and 1^stNeurological Clinics of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens
3. Organizational development of Standardized Nursing Procedures & Clinical Nursing Protocols, in co-operation with the Hospital Nursing Department
4. Drawing up of the Quality Assurance Committee Handbook
5. Drawing up of all forms and documents referring to Quality Assurance in Health Care Services Provided
6. Provision and Installation of complaint boxes, handling of and objective examination of complaints submitted
7. Organization and supervision of educational programs for hospital staff and nursing students, in co-operation with the Hospital Infection Control Committee and the Nursing Department Educational Committee
8. Assurance of a comprehensive system of monitoring and reporting adverse drug reactions
9. Co – Ordination of regular meetings between the Committee and the staff of Hospital Departments with the aim to report staff complaints and problems
10. Proposal of acquiring an Occupational Physician and an Occupational Safety Technician to the Hospital Administration Board
11. Proposal of establishing a Fire Prevention and Safety Committee to the Hospital Administration Board
12. Facilitating educational safety programs, in co-operation with other Hospital Departments
13. Assurance of quality in the Departments of Nutrition and Dietetics, Sanitation and Client Services
14. Communicating the work of the Committee via the under - construction website of the Eginitio Hospital
