Prevention of hospital-acquired infections
The Nursing Staff of Eginitio hospital participates in the Committee of Prevention of Hospital-acquired Infections with the Infectious Diseases Prevention Nurse under the supervision of the Director of the Nursing Service.
Objectives:
- Collection and recording of data on Infectious Diseases in collaboration with the Biopathology Laboratory
- Training of staff for the control and prevention of hospital-acquired infections
- Collect and treatment of staff accidents from infectious diseases in the hospital and keeping a record
- Vaccination of staff according to national and international guidelines
- Collaboration with the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (KEELPNO)
- Monitoring the hospital's waste and toxic material management
- Monitoring the hygiene of the whole hospital
