NURSING SERVICE AIMS
The purpose of the Nursing Service is to provide high quality nursing care at the primary, secondary and tertiary level.
Specific objectives of the Nursing Service include:
- Staffing, organization and administration of nursing services based on international standards.
- Planning and evaluation of the health care services provided
- Prevention of hospital-acquired infections
- Ensuring preparedness of nursing services for dealing with mass disasters and crises
- Working together with other services as well as with other hospitals and institutions to provide a unified care
- Development of research programs aimed at improving the health services provided
- Participation in interdisciplinary research programs of the Hospital
- Participation in the Hospital's Board of Directors and Staff
- Organization of educational programs for nursing staff (Nursing Mental Health Specialty, Continuing Education Programs, participation in conferences and workshops)
- Training of nursing students at theoretical and clinical level
- Theoretical and Clinical Education of Students (Assistant Nurses) by EPAL, IEK, EPAS
- Supporting volunteerism with a view to the clinical training of volunteer nurses
- Compliance with the operating principles of the hospital as defined by the legal provisions, the Rules of Procedure and the decisions of the Board of Directors
