SMARAGDAKI EVA

Eva Smaragdaki is a Clinical Neuropsychologist (MSc) and a PhD Candidate at the medical school of Athens, First Department of Neurology, Aiginition University Hospital. She graduated from the Department of Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2019. She then attended the annual seminar on dementia of the Hellenic Association of Geriatrics and Gerontology (https://www.gerontology.gr/en/ ). She attended and graduated on top of her class in the M.Sc of the Medical School of Athens “Clinical Neuropsychology - Cognitive Neurosciences” in collaboration with McGill University. Since 2022, she has been a research associate at the Neurodegenerative Disorders and Epilepsy Ward, First Department of Neurology, Aiginition Hospital, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she is doing her PhD in the disorders of skilled movements of the upper limbs in neurodegenerative diseases. She is also currently working in the "Outpatient Clinic for Memory, Dementia & Parkinson's disease through the National Telemedicine Network". She is interested in the clinical manifestations and neuroimaging advances in cognitive and movement neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's Disease, Atypical Parkinsonian Syndromes, Alzheimer’s disease and Frontotemporal Dementia.
