GEORGE PANTES

George V. Pantes was born in Larissa in 1967 and grew up in Volos. His parents descend from Karditsa. Following his graduation from Larissa Pedagogical Academy, he completed Medical school at the University of Ioannina. He then had his compulsory services in the Greek primary health care system in the province of Chania and subsequently served as a military doctor in Lesvos Island. He had residency training in Internal Medicine at the 404 General Military Hospital, in Psychiatry at the General Hospital of Volos and in Neurology at Aiginition Hospital. He has completed additional training in Neuropsychology with certified attendance of 5 summer schools (the Vivien Smitesh Advanced Studies Summer Institute of the International Neuropsychological Society). He received his phD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and his thesis was titled: “Development of sensorimotor integration of space. Behavioral study of perception and movement parameters in two dimensional space in children”.

George Pantes has teached Neurophysiology at the University of West Attica and is a member of the Health Comittees of the Disability Certification Center. Since 2001 he is a Clinical and Research Associate at the Cognitive disorders Outpatient Clinic of the 1st Neurology Department at Aiginition Hospital.

His interests include philosophy and methodology of Neuroscience, evolutional and developmental dynamics of the brain, interaction of medical approach and  social wellfare ( functionality and disability) and the collaboration between different specialties and scientific domains in relation to health and healthcare.

He is a member of various Greek and International scientific societies. He has published in International and Greek journals and has participated in Greek  and International Congresses. Indicatively:
