Dr. Stella Fragkiadaki is a Clinical Neuropsychologist (MSc, PhD) from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). She received her BSc in Psychology from the Department of Psychology at the NKUA and completed her master’s degree at the three years post-graduate training program in “Clinical Neuropsychology”, organized jointly by the Medical School, University of Athens, and the Health Science Center University of Texas. She then presented her PhD thesis at the Medical School of NKUA on the self-awareness of cognitive ability in patients with neurodegenerative disorders. She has participated as a Research Associate at the in-patient and out-patient clinics of the 2nd Department of Neurology at “Attikon” University General Hospital and has also worked as a researcher at international research programs and pharmaceutical studies in the field of cognitive and movement disorders. She has publications on peer-reviewed international scientific journals and has also given presentations on Greek and International scientific conferences. Her research interests focus on the self-awareness abilities of cognitively healthy adults and patients with cognitive disorders as well as the cognitive and behavioral manifestations of various neurodegenerative conditions. Currently, she is a Research Associate at the 1st Department of Neurology at “Eginiteio” University Hospital and works as a psychotherapist, following the model of Existential – Systemic Psychotherapy. She is a regular member of the Hellenic Neuropsychological Society (HPNS) and has participated in the works of the Education and Research Committees of the HPNS.
