Dr. Ion N Beratis is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the American College of Greece. Also, he is currently a scientific associate of the 1st University Department of Neurology, "EGINITEIO" University Hospital.
His studies include a Psychology Degree from the Department of Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Excellent), a Master of Science in the field of Neuropsychology from the University of Edinburgh (Excellent) and a PhD degree from the 1st Department of Psychiatry of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Excellent). Also, he has completed his clinical training in cognitive psychotherapy by the Hellenic Association of Cognitive Psychotherapies.
He has conducted research in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Patras, the University Mental Health Research Institute of Athens and the Department of Neuroscience of the University of Edinburgh, and the Department of Psychology of the American College of Greece.
His research work has been published in international peer reviewed journals and has been presented in Hellenic and International Scientific Congresses. In addition, Dr Beratis has received several scientific awards and is serving as reviewer for peer-reviewed international journals in the field of Neuropsychology.
