PAPADIMAS GEORGE

 

Dr. George Papadimas MD, PhD, has graduated from the Medical School at the University of Patras (1999). He was granted the HRAKLEITOS Scholarship for his postgraduate studies at the Department of Experimental Pharmacology of the Medical School at the University of Athens (obtained PhD degree in July 2007). He was trained in Neurology at the 1st Department of Neurology at Eginitio Hospital and completed a fellowship in Neuromuscular Disorders at the Friedrich-Baur-Institute of the Ludwig Maximilians University (Munich, Germany) after a scholarship obtained by the Hellenic Neurological Society.

Since 2010, he serves as a consultant neurologist at the 1st Department of Neurology at Eginitio Hospital. He participates in the clinical, training and educational program of the 1st Department of Neurology and he is the supervisor of the Outpatient Clinic for acquired and hereditary muscle diseases.

His research interests are focused on the study of the pathogenesis and treatment of neuromuscular diseases. Hi is also actively involved in the organization of centers of excellence for rare diseases in Greece. He has published a large number of articles in academic journals and he has participated as an invited speaker in many Greek and international congresses.
