Vasiliki Zouvelou MD, PhD
Dr Vasiliki Zouvelou graduated from the Medical School of The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 1995. She was specialized in Neurology at the Neurology Clinic of Evangelismos General Hospital from 1997-2001. Her PhD degree was performed in the Myopathology Department and the Outpatient Clinic for Muscle diseases of the Aeginition Hospital and was entitled: “Investigation of Asymptomatic Persistent Hyper-CK-emia”.
From 2003 she works in the 1st Neurology Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Eginition Hospital and since 2007 in the specialized ward for patients with myasthenia gravis and other disorders of the neuromuscular transmission, myopathies, polyneuropathies and motor-neuron disorders of Eginition Hospital. From 2008, she is the head of the outpatient clinic for myasthenia gravis of Eginition Hospital. Furthermore, she has a constant educational activity concerning both medical students and neurology residents. On January 2023, Dr. Zouvelou was elected Associate Professor of Neurology-Neuroimmunology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, which is her current position at Eginition Hospital. She has 86 publications (citations:1800) and has given 70 lectures in Local and International Congresses concerning myasthenia gravis and neuromuscular diseases.
