GRIGORIADOU LAVRENTIA

 

 

Lavrentia Grigoriadou is a Psychologist (MSc) and a PhD candidate at Panteion University, whose research focuses on speech disorders in patients with schizophrenia.

She graduated from the Department of Psychology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2020. Following that, she completed the Master Program in ‘’Neurosciences and Neurodegenerative Diseases’’ at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). She is currently undergoing training in the Cognitive Psychotherapies program "IOANNIS PAPAKOSTAS," implemented by the Research University Institute of Mental Health, Neurosciences, and Precision Medicine "KOSTAS STEFANIS," in collaboration with the A' Psychiatric Clinic of UOA, the B' Psychiatric Clinic of UOA, and the Hellenic Society for Cognitive Psychotherapies.

Since 2022, she has been working as a Psychologist at the Day Hospital Center NPO "IASON," assisting individuals with mental health issues. She has collaborated as a researcher at the Laboratory for the Study of Neurodegenerative Diseases at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation at AUTH. Additionally, she worked as a research assistant at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute at the University of Minho, in Portugal. She has also volunteered at the Day Centers of the Hellenic Society for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders in Thessaloniki. She is a regular member of the Hellenic Neuropsychological Society.

She possesses a combination of knowledge in clinical and molecular/laboratory techniques. Her clinical and research interests include cognitive disorders in patients with dementia and neurodegenerative diseases, as well as in individuals with psychiatric disorders. Furthermore, she has investigated the relationship between chronic stress and Alzheimer's disease, as well as the role of exosomes in the prognosis and diagnosis of the disease.
